PHYSICIAN AND PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT POSITIONS Urgent Care development group is looking for highly motivated Physicians and experienced Physician Assistants to join our urgent care / occupational health center located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. This is an outstanding opportunity for an aggressive and skilled Physician and/or certified PA. We provide acute care services as well as occupational and workers compensation services to the local population and the seasonal summertime visitors. Must be skilled in evaluation and management of acute injury or illness. We see everything from severe eye injuries, embedded foreign bodies of the eye and skin, to simple and complex lacerations, sprains, strains with orthopedic evaluation and definitive care. Must have the ability to wet-read x-rays, splint and cast, and administer joint injections and perform aspirations. Other necessary skills include interpretation of EKGs, phlebotomy, lab work, IV therapy, and medication administration. Must be able to interpret normal and abnormal findings and occasionally make critical evaluations in a fast paced environment. We have on-site x-ray and laboratory. Personable patient skills, empathy and the desire to go the extra mile for your patients. Providers typically see 28-35 patients per day and work 80 hours in a two-week period with no call, and attractive earning potential. Providers perform minor procedures including sprains, fractures, and lacerations. This is the ultimate in urgent care practice with the most pleasant staff around.
